What is Notion’s email format?

The shares come from LeadIQ’s Notion profile (LeadIQ, checked Oct 29, 2026), and Clay also lists {first}@makenotion.com as the most common format (Clay). A few other providers rank {f}{last} first, so if the short form bounces, try mchen-style before first.last.

Which domains does Notion use?

• makenotion.com: staff email, hosted on Google Workspace; the web address itself redirects to notion.com

• notion.com: the website. Notion bought it from a private owner in a deal that began in 2018, paying in cash and Notion equity (Akshay Kothari on LinkedIn), and it was forwarding to Notion by April 2020 (TheDomains). It sends Notion’s marketing email, but its mail servers are a registrar default rather than Notion’s own (checked Oct 29, 2026), so don’t guess staff addresses on it. Notion’s press inbox, press@notion.com, is the one official address on this domain.

• notion.so: Notion’s original domain. Since June 2026 its pages redirect to notion.com and sign-ins go to app.notion.com; it has no mail servers (checked Oct 29, 2026)

• notion.ai: redirects to Notion’s AI product page; it has no mail servers and its SPF record allows no senders, so no Notion email comes from it (checked Oct 30, 2026)

• app.notion.com: the Notion app since June 2026

• notion.site: public pages that Notion users publish; a page there is not from Notion staff

• mail.notion.so: Notion’s automated notifications, such as notify@mail.notion.so

• calendar.notion.so and cron.com: Notion Calendar, formerly Cron, which Notion bought in 2022 (Cron)

A pattern-based address is an educated guess, not a confirmed one. Run it through an email verifier before you send, because a bounce hurts your sender reputation.

Is that email really from Notion?

Check the domain after the @. Notion doesn’t publish a list of the domains it sends email from, but each of its domains has a clear job:

• makenotion.com: Notion staff and official inboxes, such as team@makenotion.com.

• mail.notion.so: automated notifications about comments, page invites and sign-in codes. These can be genuine Notion messages triggered by someone else: Sublime Security flags emails where a free Notion workspace impersonates an executive (Sublime Security).

• notion.com: marketing emails and newsletters.

• notion.site links: anyone can publish one, so a link to notion.site doesn’t prove a message came from Notion.

• notion.ai: nothing. Notion’s DNS says no email is sent from this domain, so treat a message from an @notion.ai address as suspicious.

Notion asks people to send suspicious activity to security@makenotion.com (Notion), and to report phishing pages with the “Report page” option inside the page (Notion). Its list of Notion-owned domains for firewall allowlists covers notion.com, notion.site, app.notion.com and notionusercontent.com (Notion).

What is Notion’s official email address?

Notion’s support inbox is team@makenotion.com. Every other official address is on makenotion.com too, except the press inbox.

Which other companies are called Notion?

Several unrelated companies share the name, and B2B databases sometimes mix their staff into the record for Notion Labs. Before you export contacts, check that the email domain is makenotion.com.
