What is Ramp’s email format?
Format | Example (fictional name: Maya Chen) | Share of known addresses | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
{first}.{last}@ramp.com | maya.chen@ramp.com | 48% of 519 staff addresses on Ramp’s npm packages; every address Ramp has published itself | Current, standard |
{f}{last}@ramp.com | mchen@ramp.com | 48% on Ramp’s npm packages; 86% per LeadIQ | Current, standard |
{first}@ramp.com | maya@ramp.com | About 2% | Rare |
{f}.{last}@ramp.com | m.chen@ramp.com | About 1% | Rare |
Ramp’s official npm packages, published from its ramp-public GitHub organization, list more than 500 staff as maintainers (npm). Of the 519 personal ramp.com addresses we could classify on November 5, 2026, 250 are {first}.{last} and 250 are {f}{last}; a few are a bare first name or {f}.{last}. The sample leans toward engineers.
Every staff address Ramp has chosen to publish itself, such as a researcher’s contact on its AI and jobs study (Ramp) and an events contact for its conference (Ramp), is {first}.{last}. Data vendors lean the other way: LeadIQ puts {f}{last} at 86% (LeadIQ), and Clay names it as the format (Clay).
Part of the vendors’ lean is old data. Until 2020, ramp.com belonged to another company, Ramp Holdings, which sold video delivery software (“Ramp: Enterprise Content Delivery Network”) (Wayback Machine); by September 2020 the domain showed today’s Ramp (Wayback Machine). Its staff used {f}{last} too, and vendors still mix those records in.
A pattern-based address is an educated guess, not a confirmed one. If maya.chen@ramp.com bounces, try mchen@ramp.com, and run either through an email verifier before you send, because a bounce hurts your sender reputation.
Which domains does Ramp use?
ramp.com: the website, the app and all staff email. Mail runs on Google Workspace, and its DMARC policy is reject, so mail that fakes a ramp.com sender should be refused (DNS checked Nov 5, 2026).
tryramp.com: Ramp’s original domain, used until 2020. It redirects to ramp.com but is still set up for mail, also with a reject policy.
ramp.co, ramp.co.uk, ramp.se and ramp.ca redirect to ramp.com and receive no mail.
app.ramp.com is the sign-in, support.ramp.com the help center, and trust.ramp.com its trust center, with security advisories (Ramp).
ramp.tech, ramp.app and ramp.io belong to other companies.
Is that email really from Ramp?
Ramp’s help center says it “will never contact you to ask for your password, card information, or sign-in verification codes” (Ramp). It lists the addresses it writes to customers from: communications@, hello@, finance@, legal@, hi@, events@, accountingpartners@, fi-partners@ and vc-partners@ramp.com (Ramp). Vendor payment requests come from communications@ramp.com (Ramp), and Ramp’s job postings say recruiters write only from @ramp.com addresses (Ashby).
Phishing campaigns have used look-alike domains. Ramp’s security advisories of December 2024 and September 2025 name, among others, na-ramp.com, mob-ramp.com, r-ramp.com, protect-ramp.com and ramp.info (Ramp Trust Center). Forward suspicious mail to abuse@ramp.com (Ramp).
