Clay lists {f}{last} as Figma’s format (Clay), and Emailchaser calls it the most common (Emailchaser). Prospeo finds a near tie between {first}{last} (46.6%) and {f}{last} (43.1%) (Prospeo), while Add to CRM puts first names alone at 81.8% (Add to CRM). Checked November 2, 2026.
With this much disagreement, try {f}{last} first, then {first}{last}, and verify the address before you send. A bounce hurts your sender reputation for every later email.
Which domains does Figma use?
figma.com: the website, the app and staff email. Its mail servers are Google Workspace, its SPF record ends in -all and its DMARC policy is quarantine (DNS checked Nov 2, 2026).
ext.figma.com: Figma’s help center lists it with figma.com as a genuine sender domain (Figma).
email.figma.com and mail.figma.com: sending subdomains that route through SendGrid; email.figma.com is also set up for Marketo, a marketing email service (DNS checked Nov 2, 2026).
figma.io and figma.ai: registered to Figma and redirect to figma.com (checked Nov 2, 2026).
Is that email really from Figma?
Figma says it “will contact you from email addresses that end in @figma.com”, and that you should check the sender’s address ends with @figma.com or @ext.figma.com (Figma). It will never ask for passwords, 2FA codes, full card details or plugin API keys by email.
Shared Figma files can be a lure. Attackers have shared Figma files, sometimes from a compromised vendor account, that lead to fake Microsoft login pages (Abnormal). A genuine Figma notification doesn’t make the file’s owner trustworthy.
figma.co is not Figma’s: it is registered privately and shows no Figma site (checked Nov 2, 2026).
figma, the action figures, a Japanese toy line, shares the name but has nothing to do with Figma, Inc.
