The shares come from LeadIQ’s Linear profile (LeadIQ), checked Oct 31, 2026. RocketReach agrees on the order: {first}@linear.app at about 88% and {first}.{last}@linear.app at about 11% (RocketReach). If the short form bounces, try maya.chen-style before mchen-style.

Some databases show a different leading pattern for “Linear” because they mix in other companies with the same name, such as the ad agency Linear Design (see below). Check that the domain is linear.app before you trust a pattern.

Which domains does Linear use?

  • linear.app: the website, the app and staff email. Its mail servers are Google Workspace, and its DMARC policy is set to reject, so receiving servers should refuse mail that fakes an @linear.app sender (DNS checked Oct 31, 2026).

  • notifications@linear.app: sign-in links, login codes and workspace invites. Linear asks admins to allowlist it, together with the bounce address pm_bounces@pm-bounces.linear.app (Linear docs).

  • intake.linear.app: receives the email that teams turn into Linear issues; its mail servers are Amazon SES (checked Oct 31, 2026), and it is in scope of Linear’s bug bounty (Linear).

  • linearapp.com: redirects to linear.app. It has no mail servers and its SPF record allows no senders, so no Linear email comes from it (checked Oct 31, 2026).

  • linearstatus.com: Linear’s status page; status.linear.app redirects there.

  • linear.com: not Linear. It belonged to the chipmaker Linear Technology and now redirects to Analog Devices, which bought Linear Technology in March 2017 (Analog Devices 10-K). A guess like maya@linear.com goes to a semiconductor company.

A pattern-based address is an educated guess, not a confirmed one. Run it through an email verifier before you send, because a bounce hurts your sender reputation.

Is that email really from Linear?

Check the domain after the @. Each Linear address has a clear job:

  • @linear.app staff and inboxes: people at Linear and its official addresses, such as hello@linear.app.

  • notifications@linear.app: automated sign-in links, login codes and invites. A sign-in email you didn’t ask for means someone typed your address; don’t click it.

  • issues@linear.app: replies to requests filed through Linear Asks by email. A company can also send those replies from its own domain, such as helpdesk@yourcompany.com, after adding DNS records (Linear docs).

  • @linear.com: Analog Devices, not Linear.

Notification emails from SaaS tools pass SPF, DKIM and DMARC checks even when an attacker triggered them: Cisco Talos showed this with GitHub and Jira in April 2026 (Cisco Talos). No such report names Linear so far, but the same rule applies: check who created the issue or invite before you click. Linear takes security reports at security@linear.app (Linear).

What is Linear’s official email address?

Linear’s general inbox is hello@linear.app. Its contact page lists it for press, partnerships and other questions, and its privacy policy and terms use it for privacy requests and legal notices.
