Legora email address pattern
Legora staff mailboxes are on legora.com. Most addresses follow {first}@legora.com, according to RocketReach (RocketReach); before the February 2025 rename, staff used leya.law.
Format | Example (fictional name: Maya Chen) | Share of known addresses | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
{first}@legora.com | maya@legora.com | About 61% | Current, most common |
{first}.{last}@legora.com | maya.chen@legora.com | About 39% | Current, common |
{first}@leya.law | maya@leya.law | About 87% of leya.law addresses | Legacy: used before the February 2025 rename |
Before emailing any pattern-based address, run it through a verifier: a bounce hurts deliverability for every later send. All Legora patterns, domains and official inboxes are on the Legora email format page.

From a law firm’s conference room to $8.8 billion
Junestrand had no legal background when he co-founded Leya in Stockholm in 2023 (Forbes). To learn the work, he messaged law firm partners on LinkedIn and offered to pay their hourly rate to teach him over lunch: “No one ever took the money. More often than not, they paid.” (General Catalyst)
In May 2023, Mannheimer Swartling, Sweden’s largest law firm, gave the team a conference room in its Stockholm office, which served as Leya’s product lab for nine months (Legora). After Y Combinator, the founders went back to Sweden; Paul Graham, Junestrand recalls, “called us a big Swedish fish” (General Catalyst).
From May to October 2024, Legora sold nothing while it rebuilt the product: “We didn’t launch the product until we could onboard a thousand lawyers a day.” (General Catalyst) It launched in October 2024, renamed itself Legora in February 2025 and opened in New York a month later. By October 2026 it had more than 1,000 employees and over $200 million in annual recurring revenue (Legora). Marking the $200 million milestone, he thanked the customers “who backed a small company from Stockholm with a lot to prove, and who still tell us plainly when we get something wrong” (X).
In his own words
“We started in Stockholm, where the whole Swedish legal market is smaller than one of the big New York firms, so the world was always our market.”
— From “Scaling fast, built to last”, October 2026 (Legora)
“We build boats, not houses: when the models rise, everything we’ve built floats higher.”
— On building on frontier AI models rather than training its own, October 2026 (Legora)
“Getting from $1M to $100M in ARR took us 18 months. The second hundred took less than six.”
